The first Prime Minister of India (Sh. Jawahar Lal Nehru) has a dream to develop the city of Chandigarh as cleanest place of India. The city of Chandigarh was architecture by Le Corbusier and it is familiar in twentieth century as modern construction and metropolitan preparation experiments. The name of Chandigarh is made with two different words Chandi + Garh. The word Chandi was derived from the temple of “Chandi Mandir” and meaning is power of god and another word “Garh” means beyond the temple. So, the name of city is developed as Chandigarh.

In the present time, Chandigarh is a Union Territory of northern portion of India and functions as capital to forty (40%) percentage of Haryana and sixty (60%) percentage of Punjab state. Chandigarh city is placed with less distance to foothills of Sivalik diversity of Himalayas under North West India. Ministry of Home Affairs is responsible for the administrative supervision of Chandigarh. An officer Deputy Commissioner, who is the member of Administrative service, is liable for overall administration but for the forcing law and order, the officer i.e. S.S.P (Senior Superintendent of Police) belongs with Indian Police is answerable.
